Applications for community funds from South Ribble Partnership can now be made.

Voluntary, community or faith based groups in South Ribble may be eligible for a grant of up to £500.

Since 2010, South Ribble Partnership has provided funding of more than £100,000 to 45 different groups across the borough for everything from hall refurbishments to lunch clubs and help with disabled facilities.

Groups used to only be able to bid for funding during two application openings each year, but now bids can be placed at any time of the year for up to £500.

Leyland St. James Scout Group received £500 to ensure that every child could attend camping weekends and to help towards new tents.

Swimming club, Leyland Barracudas, also successfully secured funding to help boost their membership and to enhance the performance of swimmers.
