SWORDSMEN will descend on Clitheroe Castle for a special St George’s Day celebration later this month.
The Academie Gloriana from the British Federation for Historical Swordsmanship will share their expertise and love of combat and historical swordsmanship with visitors, from 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 19 and 20.
And visitors to the castle, in Castle Hill, will be able to slay dragons, watch combat displays, handle weapons and armour and learn to joust.
Tickets for the Slay Boredom event are not required, but the usual entry fee for the castle museum - £4 for adults, £3 for concessions and free for accompanied children – applies.
