A DRUG dealer who grew cannabis in his bedroom has been forced to pay back more than £13,000.

Leon Jones, aged 28, of Dumers Lane, Bury, had previously pleaded guilty of possession with intent to supply cannabis, and sentenced to 100 hours unpaid community work on May 22 last year.

At a proceeds of crime hearing at Bolton Crown Court last week, Jones’ benefit from crime was set at £30,000, and officers recovered £13,075 after confiscating assets including Cartier, Breitling and Rolex watches.

Jones was stopped by police on May 8, 2012, for speeding, when officers found a strong smell of cannabis, as well as large bin bags in the car which were found to be the remnants of a cannabis farm.

Officers then searched Jones’ home, which was then in Booth Street, Tottington, and found a locked front bedroom which housed a cannabis farm.

Items in the bedroom included a large electrical fans and an extraction system.
