A CYCLIST with a broken leg was carried about quarter of a mile by volunteers to a waiting mountain rescue team ambulance.
Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team was called to help an injured man near Turton Tower, off Chapeltown Road, Chapeltown, after he fell from his mountain bike.
Members of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team were busy searching for a missing man near to Barton Airport in Salford.
The call-out came about 8pm on Tuesday. The injured man was treated by team members, carried about a quarter of a mile to the team ambulance and was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital for treatment.
