A MAGICAL adventure greeted families who enjoyed a performance inspired by Mother’s Day at a nature reserve.
At Lancashire Wildlife Trust’s Environmental Resource Centre in Bury Road, Bolton, 120 adults and children were treated four performances by Wooden Spoons Theatre.
Dubbed "Mother Nature’s Day", the shows on Saturday saw a narrator lead youngsters around the Seven Acres Nature Reserve.
They met a butterfly, robin, tree and rabbit who explained how animals get ready to become mothers in the spring.
Alex Bateson, Activise Your Lives project officer, said: “The performance explained the importance of not dropping litter, of planting wildflowers and of feeding birds.
“People don’t realise what is behind the building and when they discover us and then come back that is fantastic.”
Children were also entertained by a magician and had the chance to make bamboo bracelets for their mums.
