BISHOP'S Road in Great Lever was shut both ways for nearly two hours tonight after two cars collided.

A blue Vauxhall Astra reportedly hit a stationary Honda estate car as it was pulling out of a junction at 7.55pm.

Both cars were significantly damaged, and four to five police vehicles attended the scene to close the road between the Green Lane and Bradford Road junctions.

It is not thought that either driver was seriously hurt.

The road was reopened at about 9.45pm.

No serious injuries, 4-5 Police cars and a 2 hr closure, it's about time health and safety got some common sense back.
