A GREAT Harwood pub is set to reopen after being taken over by a new owner.
The Gamecock in Whalley Road, has been taken over by national chain Mitchells and Butler and given what is described as a "complete overhaul".
Richard Surr, a spokesperson for the pub, said he believed he new look would be welcomed by the community.
He said: "We hope its new warm atmosphere and charm will grow naturally as the guests contribute to its own distinctive identity.
"Our aim is to provide an element that is so often missing from the usual dining out scene - restaurant quality food and service, to be enjoyed in the quiet relaxed surroundings of a great traditional inn, complete with real log fires."
