A CARE home in Burnley has been found to be meeting all required care standards by its official watchdog.

Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) made the finding after visiting Victorian Care Home in Thursby Road.

Cat Metcalfe, the home’s manager, said: “We have worked really hard to provide the best possible environment for our residents and this report confirms that we have got it right.

“This came when we were in the middle of a massive refurbishment, which is now nearly complete.”

The home was found to have met standards in a variety of statutory criteria, including treating people with respect, involving them in their own care, providing care, meeting safety standards and quality of management.
