A RED Renault Megane has crashed southbound on St Peter's Way this morning.

The incident happened at about 8am on the A666, with the car suffering significant structural damage.

The road did not have to be shut and there is no evidence that any other vehicles were involved.

Minor delays were caused to the link road to the M61 because of the crash and people on the road, according to the Highways Agency.

The incident has now been cleared.
