A TEENAGER got behind the wheel while banned and over the limit after being called to an accident involving the mother of his child, a court was told.
Burnley Magistrates heard how Shaun Anthony Robinson, 19, was more than twice the limit when spotted in the early hours in Colne. He had earlier been banned for two years for drink driving.
Robinson, now said to be turning his back on crime and living back home with his parents, admitted driving whilst disqualified, driving with excess alcohol and no insurance, last November 11.
The defendant, of Belgrave Road, Colne, was given a 12-month community order with supervision, 300 hours unpaid work and was banned for three years. He must also pay £250 in fines and costs and was ordered to attend the drink impaired drivers' programme.
John Rusius, defending, said Robinson had got a message his ex-partner had been in an accident.
