A SIGHT loss service promoted by a charity for blind people has been invited to Burnley town centre by local campaigners.
Action for Blind People will be bringing its mobile display to St James Street on Thursday, April 3, from 10am to 4pm, after a request was made by The Macular Society’s Burnley support group.
The latest technology and gadgets designed to improve the daily life of partially-sighted and blind people will be showcased, from vibrating bank note detectors to talking microwaves and tin lids.
Neal Atkinson from Action for Blind People, said: “Whether you are visually impaired or know somebody who may be having problems with their sight, please pay us a visit and pick up information or ask us questions.”
