A SCHOOL is preparing to take part in an intense revision weekend trip.

Alder Grange High School in Rawtenstall is heading to its annual study weekend at Hothersall Lodge next month.

The trip, taking place in the next few weeks, has been a regular feature of the school year for the past 13 years and is an intensive, targeted study weekend.

GCSE pupils take part when it is held in early April each year and students leave school on the Friday afternoon and return on Sunday.

The weekend provides an opportunity for intensive revision of English language and literature, mathematics, science, history and geography to both foundation and higher levels. It also provides seminars and workshops on study skills and revision techniques and an opportunity to share ideas.
