Two drivers treated by paramedics after Hawkshaw crash

PARAMEDICS were called to treat two drivers involved in a crash in Hawkshaw last night.

A Ford Fiesta and Volvo collided in Ramsbottom Road, between the Red Lion pub and Turton Road, at about 8.30pm.

Both drivers, a man and a woman, were treated for minor cuts at the scene. Neither required hospital treatment.

The road did not to be closed at any stage as a result of the crash, although police did attend.

No one has been arrested and there were no passengers in either car.

It is a 40mph road so have you been driving too fast??

Im also pretty sure there is no turton road near here.. The speed limit does change to 30mph more or less at the red lion pub to come through hawkshaw. The 50mph limit change is actually near the turning for the jumbles and continues towards harwood where this then changes to back to 30. This road needs a speed camera not a speed limit change...
