Bury Against Fracking will hold a public meeting at the Eagle and Child in Ramsbottom on Wednesday, March 19.
The evening will include the screening of some short films, and speeches from representatives of Frack Free Manchester.
The group is concerned that the controversial technique, which involves drilling to produce shale gas, could be used in Bury and Ramsbottom because there are large deposits of shale gas under much of Lancashire.
The meeting runs from 7pm to 9.30pm at the pub in Whalley Road.
