STAFF at a pharmacy in Nelson spent a morning with Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson showing him services they offer the community.
Staff at Barkerhouse Pharmacy spoke to Mr Stephenson about how those services might be developed even further in the future.
They showed the MP how they are helping patients get the best out of their medicines and how they can offer healthy living advice.
Mark Collins, superintendent pharmacist at Barkerhouse, said: “It was fantastic having our pharmacy recognised by an MP such as Andrew who has an excellent grasp of healthcare and all the pharmacy has to offer.
“People may know their pharmacy can give advice on medicines and non-serious health problems as well as dispensing prescriptions, but this is just the tip of the iceberg.”
