A WORLD War Two veteran visited a Rawtenstall high school to talk about his wartime experiences to history students.
Ted Davidson, 88, from Padiham, spoke to students at Alder Grange Community Technology School.
Georgia McCutcheon, a Year 9 student, said: “He had me in tears when he spoke about what he saw in the concentration camps. Shumel Haydar, a history teacher, said: “Ted had the audience absorbed.
“It’s Ted’s second visit to Alder Grange and the impact of his visits have been such that I have been inundated with requests from schools within the Valley to ask Ted to deliver a similar talk to their children.
"Ted’s memories and those of his generation are priceless to not only our children, but to us all and we must do our utmost to celebrate them and preserve them.”
Mr Davidson said: “It’s what keeps me going.”
