PENDLESIDE Hospice has announced the route of its Girls Night Out.

The event on Friday, July 11 replaces the Midnight Walk of previous years.

The event will feature all the fun of the Midnight Walk but with entertainment and licensed bar afterwards.

The fully marshalled 10k-route will start at 8pm at Burnley Football Club and will be on established well-lit footpaths.

Walkers will depart from Burnley Football Club, along Yorkshire Street, through Charter Walk and Market Square, up Curzon Street and Westgate to the Barracks Station and across the footbridge over the M65.

They will then go onto Ighten Road, Lakeland Way, Padiham Road, Middlesex Avenue, Sycamore Avenue, up Gannow Lane and under the underpass, back down Westgate, through town and back to Turf Moor.

The walk will take around 2 hours to complete.

On return to the club, walkers will receive a medal, certificate and goody bag, the bar will be open and there will be music and entertainment until midnight, and a pie and peas supper.
