A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl was taken to hospital with a suspected hip injury after she was knocked down in Clitheroe.
The youngster was in Castle Street, which had to be blocked off by police, when she was involved in a collision with a Toyota Yaris.
The North West Air Ambulance was scrambled in case the girl needed immediate hospital treatment.
But when paramedics arrived, her injuries were determined to be ‘non-dangerous’ and she was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital by land ambulance.
The incident happened around 11am on Saturday.
