BOLTON celebrities turned out to collect chocolate eggs for poorly youngsters in time for Easter.
Lisa Ashton, world BDO darts champion, and magician Mark Daniel turned up alongside Bolton Mayor Cllr Colin Shaw to help collect eggs for children’s charities across Bolton.
The eggs will be going to organisations such as Fortalice, Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley and the children's ward at Royal Bolton Hospital. Lisa said: “It’s a nice thing to help these children and an opportunity to give back to my home town.”
William Gallagher, the appeal’s organiser, said “I didn’t expect the campaign to take off the way it has.
“The support has been tremendous.”
The appeal was set up in 2009 to benefit children of Bolton and since then has given away more than 2,000 eggs.
Donations can be taken to the Bay Mare pub, in Blackburn Road, Sharples, or you can contact Mr Gallagher on 07703 340992.
