A WALKER suffered a suspected broken leg after a fall at Turton and Entwistle Reservoir this afternoon.

A man, in his 60s, was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital, after ambulances, a helicopter and Bolton Mountain Rescue were called to the scene.

Paramedics were called at about 1pm to reports that a man had suffered a “serious” leg injury, thought to be a broken leg.

A North West Ambulance spokesman said: “The helimed was mobilised but in the end we managed to transport this man to Royal Blackburn Hospital by ground ambulance.”
