A WOMAN has been hit by a car outside the Octagon Theatre.

The pensioner was crossing Howell Croft Street when she was knocked down by a red Honda at about 10am this morning.

A paramedic, who was visiting nearby Lever Chambers Centre for Health, rushed out to help the lady and an ambulance was called.

She is being treated for leg injuries, and her condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

This happened to my mother-in-law, she is in a stable condition but has to undergo corrective surgery due to her ankle being broke in 3 places. The family is behind her and we wish her all the best and a speedy recovery, all our love is with our Anne.
