A CORONER is to look into the death of a man who died almost a year after being attacked in Blackburn.

Derek Wildeman, 41, died on February 14 after being admitted to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with a urinary tract infection and aspiration pneumonia.

He had been being cared for at the Dove Court Nursing Home in Burnley.

The results of the post mortem have been witheld pending histology and toxicology results.

The hearing was adjourned to allow inquiries to take place.
