BOLTON Hospice is calling on people to register for the eighth annual Midnight Memories walk.

This year the theme will be Wild Wild West and will consist of entertainment along the way including live bands, dancing and a memorable warm-up work out.

Maria Passarello, events manager at the hospice, said: “The Midnight Memories Walk is a favourite for so many local people.

“Some walk as a tribute to a loved one, some walk as warriors who have overcome cancer or still fighting for life threatening illnesses, some walk for fun, some walk to celebrate a special occasion, some walk to keep fit and hopefully all walk to support our cause.”

After raising £116,000 last year from a packed out walk, the hospice is now aiming for a repeat performance.

The group will start at the stroke of midnight and walk eight miles starting at Victoria Square, stop halfway for a quick refreshments break at the Meadowhill Nursery, before returning to Victoria Square.

The walk will take place on Saturday, June 21, and registration is £10 if booked before March 31, or £15 after that date. For information, call 01204 663055.
