IT was not rocket science for this creative group when they were taught how to build rocket stoves at the Hive centre.
The Hive is a project organised by the Lancashire Wildlife Trust which operates in Moss Bank Park and organises projects centred on teaching people about sustainability and growing produce.
Those who attended the Rocket Stove workshop were taught how to make camping stoves out of large catering tins.
Senior project officer at the Hive, Charlie Barlow, said: “This project was part of our achieve programme which teaches different skills including outdoor survival and sustainability.
“The Hive centre has been in Moss Bank Park since last April and it is working well. People are coming from far and wide to get involved with the projects we are offering.”
