Neighbourhood police got out into the community and secured 28 bicycles and scooters for free in Euxton.

Euxton Healthy Streets Group and the neighbourhood policing team for the village ran a free bike coding morning at the library and then at Euxton Skate Park.

Councillor Debra Platt said: “It was busy from the start and the children and parents bringing the scooters and cycles occupied themselves in the Library whilst PCSO Ray Chadwick security coded them all.

“Thanks go to Euxton Library for arranging and hosting the event.”

There is a second event organised for the half term week, on February 20 from 10am to noon at Euxton Library.
