THEY say every dog has his day — and this was street artist Alin Stoian’s time to shine as he displayed his unique creation in Bolton town centre.

Mr Stoian spent the day crafting a sandy sculpture of a dog outside WH Smith in Victoria Square — much to the delight of shoppers who stopped to check out his painstaking work.

The 20-year-old, who lives in Liverpool said he comes to Bolton about once a month to display his arty animals and has previously crafted lions and cats out of sand.

He said: “Lots of people have been stopping, looking and enjoying the sand dog — everyone seems to like it.”
