A BURNLEY resident has won a tablet computer after taking part in a prize draw organised to encourage more people to sign up to Burnley Council’s online service.
Krzysztof Aderek went along to Burnley Town Hall to pick up a Galaxy tablet device from Sharon Hargraves, the council’s head of customer and IT services.
The council launched the competition because it wants more people to visit its website www.burnley.gov.uk and find out how much they can do online as part of its Your Burnley campaign.
Next month, the council will be sending out the Burnley Connection, a magazine full of useful information about council services and priorities, which will include details of how to enter the final prize draw for a Samsung Galaxy tablet device.
Coun Tony Harrison, executive member for customer services, said: “The council website and Your Burnley are a great way of finding out the information you need and seeing how issues you’ve reported are progressing.”
