SOAP stars were among the famous faces who attended the official launch of a footballer’s restaurant.
Coronation Street actors Alan Halsall and Andy Whyment, both from Walkden and who play Tyrone Dobbs and Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap, swapped the cobbles for the culinary delights of Ryan Giggs’ new eaterie.
The Manchester United midfielder, along with pals Kelvin Gregory and Bernie Taylor, has transformed the former Milan Italian restaurant into George’s dining room and bar, in Barton Road, Worsley.
Other guests at the launch included Ryan’s former team-mate Gary Neville, from Bury, Reds legend Bryan Robson, Happy Mondays singer Rowetta, DJ Dave Haslam and Corrie’s Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt.
