EDUCATIONAL theatre company Splendid Productions visited St Mary’s College, in Shear Brow, Blackburn and showcased their adaptation of Sophocles’ epic tale Antigone.
Second year drama students were then invited to work with the Artistic Director of the company, Kerry Frampton, in a workshop aimed at developing their physical skills.
Emma Naylor, Head of Performing Arts said: “The workshop really challenged the students and their physical acting ability. The skills they have gained today will be put into excellent use in their final examination pieces.”
Student Athalia Willis, 17, from Great Harwood, said: “It was an amazing thrill to work with such an acclaimed theatre company.”
