THE presents have been opened, the mince pies have all been eaten — and now the Bolton town centre Christmas decorations have been taken down.

Staff were out in force yesterday to remove the town’s festive lights.

The recycled Christmas tree in Victoria Square has been chopped down and the lights have been carefully packed away for another year.
