THREE years ago today, Bolton Wanderers lost its most famous and treasured son, Nat Lofthouse, the legendary Lion of Vienna.
The former England striker died at the age of 85.
His funeral 11 days later saw the great and the good of the football world come together to pay their respects at St Mary’s Church.
Lofthouse’s ashes were later interred at a private ceremony at St Anne’s Church memorial garden in Chapeltown.
