HOMEOWNERS have been warned to be vigilant after three ‘sneak-in’ burglaries in the Rosehill area of Burnley inside 12 hours.

Two iPhones and a purse were stolen in incidents in Rosewood Avenue and Glen View Road, while a third burglar left a home in Rosehill Avenue empty-handed.

Lancashire police said the offenders got in through unlocked doors.

PC Nicola Heap said: “If anyone has any information about what happened or noticed anyone acting suspiciously around the area over the weekend then I ask them to get in touch.

“I would like to remind people, not only around Christmas but year round, to be security conscious and to make sure that doors and windows are not left unlocked for opportunist thieves to take advantage.”
