THE GIRLFRIEND of a football memorabilia collector has appealed for help in finding a metal Accrington Stanley badge.
Julie Hobbs is looking to make her boyfriend’s Christmas dreams come true as she hunts down an elusive badge.
She said: “My boyfriend is a keen follower of football at all levels, and as a hobby he collects official metal supporters’ club badges from every league, ex-league and non-league football clubs.
“One of the so far elusive badges he seeks is from Accrington Stanley.
“Although he has written to the club, they have produced a few different versions of the supporters’ club badge over the years.
“When I ask him what he wants for Christmas, all he replies are ‘the supporters’ club badges’ that have so far eluded him.”
