A TROUBLESOME drunk has been jailed for six months after his sixth breach of an anti-social behaviour order.

Burnley magistrates said there were was no other option for well-known thief and nuisance Antony Cross, after his December 5 arrest for using threatening and abusive behaviour.

Cross, 40, a Burnley man of no fixed address, admitted breaching his ASBO, imposed last May, due to his unruly conduct.

Cross, who has battled alcoholism, was jailed for four months in October for racially abusing a police officer, after leaving a Christian-run rehabiliation centre and getting drunk.

He is already banned from entering Burnley bus station and a number of shops because of his past behaviour.
