Search for South Ribble's budding top talent

FORGET the X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing, South Ribble Search for a Star is back and it is looking for outstanding entertainment talent in Leyland and surrounding areas.
Singers, dancers, comedians, magicians and performers are once again invited to audition for the borough’s biggest talent show.
Auditions are set for Thursday, February 6 at the Civic Centre, in West Paddock, Leyland when the Mayor of South Ribble, councillor Dorothy Gardner will join the judging panel.
The finalists will then go head-to-head at a grand final on Friday, April 4.
All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the Mayor’s charities, St Catherine’s Hospice, Hope for Justice and Baby Beat.
No professional artists or past winners are eligible to enter the competition which is free to enter.
A wide variety of acts contested the 2013 Search for a Star final. They included Chloe Arnold, aged 14, from Leyland, singer and guitar player, Alfie Ashall, aged 10, from Chorley, dancer, Millie-Mae Hill, aged 9, from Leyland.
Artists may also use a backing track for their auditions.
