A BURNLEY school has been rated as ‘requires improvement’ by Ofsted inspectors, and not ‘inadequate’.
In a report in Saturday's Lancashire Telegraph, we incorrectly said St James’ Lanehead had been rated inadequate.
We apologise for the error.
The school has been told to improve the achievement of pupils, the quality of teaching and leadership and management in the report.
The behaviour and safety of pupils was classed as good.
The school will receive another full inspection within 24 months.
Ofsted said school leaders and a new headteacher had already accurately identified what needed to be done to improve standards.
