Again the Chorley U11s produced an excellent performance in the Red Rose cross country race at Rossendale. In very wet and muddy conditions Andrew Lilley (7th), Jack Hughes (15th), Harry Potts (18th), Joe Bowles (26th), Martin Rimmer (37th) and Owen Kellett (49th) finished in fourth team ahead of the girls team of Amber Boardman (30th), Emily Warren (32nd), Lauren Prince (35th), Isabelle Farran (42nd), Amelia Bowles (47th) and Layla Allton (50th) who fought hard for seventh team place. The U13 boys also came in seventh team with Jack Wilson (19th), brother Henry (36th) and Jacob Hughes (38th) all contributing. The senior ladies produced an example of good 'packing' with Anya Townsend (63rd), Alison Fowler (64th) nipping passed Jane Bowles (65th) yards from the line and securing 13th team place. In the men's race Darren Fishwick (53rd) couldn't find a fell race so lead home Dave Biddulph (64th), Jonathon Burgess (70th), Bill Beckett (102nd), Paul Wareing (116th), Paul Jackson (146th), Simon Townsend (155th) and Michael Hendry (161st).
