This Is Lancashire: CHORLEY DATE: Mitch Benn CHORLEY DATE: Mitch Benn

Stand-up Mitch Benn, is set to play Chorley’s Little Theatre on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 8pm.

The show, which comprises the well-travelled comedian’s obsession with Liverpool’s most famous sons as well his own musical performances and satire comedy, enters its Northern leg in Chorley.

The title of the show is Mitch Benn: The 37th Beatle.

The material combines his Scouse upbringing, his love of music and a lifelong obsession with the Beatles. It is most definitely not a tribute show and while his affection for his subjects is well documented, expect the satirical twists for which Mitch is well known.

Mitch said: “Many have claimed the title ‘Fifth Beatle’.

“They can’t all be right, but some were righter than others.”

The Radio 4 host, who has played the likes of Glastonbury and Edinburgh Fringe delivers ‘comedy rock’ as well as his own unique style of storytelling.

Tickets cost £12 and are available from Malcolm’s Musicland in Chorley, or by calling 01257 264362.
