ACCRINGTON residents dreaming of a dazzling Christmas got exactly what they wished for.
Limewood Close residents have filled the street with decorations, in aid of the North West Air Ambulance, and more than 500 people attended the switch-on.
Michael Brome, who has decorated his house for years, said: “It was an amazing night. My employer, Morrisons in Accrington, donated mulled wine and hotdogs and we raised £732 towards our £1,000 target.”
Michael and his partner Fred have always made a big effort to transform their home at Christmas and last year a police officer told them they had the best lights in town before asking them where their charity bucket was.
Michael, 44, said: “That inspired us to get everyone involved and do it for a good cause.
“Everyone has been so supportive and generous.”
