BURNLEY fans led a minute’s applause on Saturday in memory of young Claret, Henry Tattersall, who died last week.

Supporters at the John Smith’s Stadium, home of Huddersfield Town, stood to honour the 13-year-old in the 13th minute of the game.

The home side displayed a photo of Henry, from Newchurch, Rossendale, on their scoreboard during the applause.

Henry, who attended Brambles East School in Darwen, was found hanged at his home, in Brow Edge, last Monday.

Henry’s mum, Eve, described Burnley FC as ‘his passion’ and said he had been a season-ticket holder.

The tribute was organised by fans through social media and the club is in discussions with Henry’s family about becoming involved with his funeral.

Lancashire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Henry’s death and that a file would be prepared and passed to the coroner.

Around 3,600 Burnley fans travelled to Huddersfield to witness the 2-1 defeat.
