Six of best from Thai boxing club

BOLTON Thai Boxing Club took the honours in a top competition at the Monaco Ballroom, Hindley.

The club had nine fighters in the contest and came away with six winners: Hanna Smyth, Junior North-west Champion; Farrah Smyth, Junior North-west Champion; John Regan, Junior English Champion, and Tony Horbury, who became North-west Champion.

The other winners on the night who did not win titles were Garver Brennard and Emma Bragg. Jade Hoskins, Ricky McCabe and Chris Mitchell narrowly lost on points.

Club owner Sandy Holt said: "It's my 29th year in Thai boxing and I have now produced 29 champions."
