MORE than 100 people attended the opening of the new Blackburn Spiritualist Centre in Princes Street at the weekend.
The centre was built to replace the former spiritualist church in St Peter Street, which is to be demolished to make way for the new link road extension between Montague Street and the Wainwright Bridge.
The project was designed and project-managed by Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors and built by contractor Rosslee Construction Limited. The new church is rectangular with a dual-pitched roof and two-storey front elevation.
It has floor-to-eaves windows and full-height brick columns to liven up the front and rear of the new building constructed of red brick and tiles.
