THE case of a £32,000 benefits cheat warned he could face jail, was adjourned at Burnley Crown Court.
Philip Carter, 66, had earlier admitted dishonestly failing to notify a change in circumstances, on or between April 2002 and April 2012.
A pre-sentence report has been prepared.
The defendant, of Staveley Close, Bacup, who suffers from arthritis and asthma, had his case adjourned until November 19 for medical evidence.
He was told by Judge Beverley Lunt: “The most likely outcome is a sentence of imprisonment.”
