HEAVY rain across Bolton has prompted a flood alert from environment chiefs.
Parts of Edgworth are among the worst affected in the area, with waters reaching close to two feet deep in Bury Road.
A flood alert is the agency’s earliest type of warning but river levels are expected to rise.
The rain is forecast to hold off tomorrow with temperatures reaching 14 degrees by 4pm.
But heavy rain will make a return on Friday.
