THE fourth art and vintage market in Nelson has been hailed a success, with more than 60 stalls selling a range of goods.
The latest market ran over three days last week and attracted hundreds of shoppers into the town.
Part of the Portas Pilot initiative, which aims to breathe new life into the town centre, it took place in the ACE Centre and an empty shopping unit in the Victory Centre in Scotland Road.
Organisers, traders and shoppers are already looking forward to the next one, set to take place in April next year.
Coun Paul White, who is responsible for economic development, enterprise and growth in Pendle, said: “The art and vintage market not only attracts people into Nelson town centre but also provides a platform for budding entrepreneurs to try out their business ideas.
“This is just one of many ways we’re working hard to make Nelson a vibrant and bustling place once again.”
