LUCKY wedding competition winners have tied the knot at their dream day.
The couple were chosen after judges whittled down the entries and held an interview panel at the Reebok Stadium for a select shortlist.
Mr and Mrs Waring then received the greatest support in the phone, text and coupon voting.
The happy couple married at Haigh Hall in Wigan on Saturday, more than a year after winning the prize last May.
Mr Waring, aged 29, said: “The wedding was an absolutely brilliant day, everything went smoothly. The room where we had the wedding at Haigh Hall was absolutely stunning. We couldn’t have got married there if we hadn’t won the prize.
“It was absolutely brilliant to win the competition it’s helped us a lot.
“Nina looked stunning. We had 80 people at the wedding during the day and 200 at night.”
The prize included wedding day photography, beauty treatments, cash towards the cost of a bridal gown, disco, a Swarovski crystal bouquet, free daytime performance from Samantha Murphy, five men’s tails or Prince Edward outfits courtesy of Slaters Menswear in Bolton, a five-tier cake, a hen party for 10 ladies courtesy of The Village Hotel in Bury, and £200 towards the mother-of-the-bride or groom outfit.
The couple got in engaged two years ago after meeting in 2007 at The Red Lion pub, Salford Road, Over Hulton, while they were out with friends.
They now live in Over Hulton.
Mrs Waring, formerly Williams, aged 28, works at The Holiday Inn in Higher Bridge Street, Bolton, and Mr Waring works for construction firm PJ Services.
The couple spent Sunday evening at the Crowne Plaza in Manchester before flying off for a three-week holiday to Mexico and Las Vegas, yesterday, where they will be staying at the Venetian Hotel.
