POUNDLAND has lodged a planning application with Burnley Council that would allow it to erect signs at a new store.
The Staffordshire company wants to replace the signage at the former Comet store, in Princess Way.
The company’s application form said the signs would be installed until at least 2018, if permission is granted, and that the company owns the land.
Three signs would be erected, blue in colour with a gold band and white lettering.
Burnley Council will consider the application.
