Ofsted inspectors praise access to outdoor space in Clitheroe nursery

CHILDREN at a nursery in Clitheroe have access to ‘stimulating’ indoor and outdoor facilities, Ofsted inspectors have found.
Inspectors who visited Ribblesdale Raindrops and Cascades Daycare, in Queen’s Road, said educational programmes at the centre provided interesting and challenging experiences to promote children’s learning and development.
Inspector Wendy Fitton said in a report: “The key person system supports engagement with all parents.
“This means children feel safe, secure and receive the individual support they need.
“Arrangements for safeguarding children are effective and clear policies and procedures are implemented well.”
It was not yet outstanding because the nursery did not regularly provide parents with sufficient information about their child's learning and progress and the organisation of space and resources was not fully effective in supporting babies independence and physical skills.
