SCHOOLS and businesses across Bolton took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Among those to take part was Cleveland Preparatory School, off Chorley New Road in Heaton.
The school combined its coffee morning with a welcome event for parents of children who were new to the school, to raise more than £250.
Headteacher Lesley Parlane said: “As always, the children were delightful. The parents had a great time in a really relaxing atmosphere, while at the same time making donations towards a good cause.”
Evans Easyspace, in Manchester Road, Wingates, has raised around £250 and expects to receive more donations.
Staff at Marks and Spencers in Middlebrook Retail Park, Horwich, put their own twist on things with a fair-themed coffee morning.
They raised £1,547.50 on the day and £2,500 over the week.
