SPECIALITY foods and organic toiletries are among the quality wares on offer at Incredible Edible Rossendale’s harvest celebration on Sunday, at Whitaker Park, in Rawtenstall.
Stallholders will include Cordeys Bakers, a long-standing local family business offering quality baked goods; A Frayed Knot, selling hand-made button badges, fridge magnets and knitted vegetables; and Heritage Kitchen Preserves, serving up chutneys, relishes and marmalade.
Rich, healthy foods will be on offer from Porcus, with high-welfare, free range, and rare breed pork from the Pennines. Refreshments will be provided by Incredible Entwistle Tea, beverages blended in Todmorden.
For children, there will be face painting, and Bricknells Sweets selling traditional treats. There will also be music from Bury band Marry Another, with their own blend of folk and pop.
Paul Scott-Bates, chairman of Incredible Edible Rossendale, said: “We’ll be there with an apple press and apple bobbing in the centre of our award-winning community garden.”
